Pair of vintage silver & gold ‘shams wa qmar’ (sun and moon) bracelets from Morocco
A very beautiful pair of bracelets. Each bracelet features alternating diagonal plates in silver and gold representing the sun and moon, hence the name given to this style of bracelet. They were often worn by wealthier women in the cities of Tangier, Tétouan, Fez, Salé and Essaouira or by a bride on her wedding day. These ones are superb quality with a smooth finish on the inner band. Very wearable items or a great collector’s piece.
