Pair of Old Silver & Enamel Kabyle Bracelets, Beni Yenni, Kabylie Jewelry - 207

£620.00

A pair of stunning hinged vintage bracelets made by the Beni Yenni tribe of Kabylie, Northern Algeria. Each bracelet has seven genuine coral cabochons and is embellished with fine granulation work and detailing. Artisans from this region are renowned for their expertise in enamel work, using green, yellow and blue enamel as decoration, as seen here. One of the bracelets has a darker yellow colour enamelling, quite normal in handmade items (see photos). Each bracelet has a pin closure which is covered by an ornate enamel plate.

Exquisite work. In very good condition. A very attractive pair of bracelets.
